Through aesthetic actions based on Agitprop, music, theater, and social activism, collaboratively with several artistic and political collectives from São Paulo, Grupo Teatral Parlendas, became a reference in using artistic languages as a shield of protection for marginalized communities, in danger. of violent expropriation and real estate speculation. For example, during the World Cup held in Brazil, several communities were affected and violently removed from their homes to beautify areas that would receive tourists. Favela da Paz, together with artistic collectives, fought and promoted art festivals, became visible and resisted removal, remaining to this day in the east zone of São Paulo.
Through a research incentive award, the Parelndas theater group also visited remote communities in the Amazon, on the borders of Brazil, Colombia, and Venezuela, participating in the communities' routines and exchanging cultural experiences with different peoples (Baniwas, Tucanos, Barés), resulting in a documentary and cultural enrichment for the group.
